OG YOGA INSTRUCTORS > ALISON SCUTTI
Alison Scutti
My first experience with yoga was nearly 30 years ago, when I took a yoga course to fulfill a PE requirement during my freshman year of college. I experienced a deep sense of peace and relaxation in that first class and couldn’t wait to learn more, and I have been practicing yoga in some form ever since. I didn’t feel the call to teach until I found OG Yoga many years later, and connected deeply to their trauma-informed and inclusive approach. I completed my 200 hour trauma-informed yoga teacher training here in 2022, and have been teaching in the studio and at various initiatives ever since. In 2025 I took on an expanded role as OG Yoga’s Director of Operations. I truly believe that yoga is for everyone, and I’m passionate about removing barriers and increasing accessibility.
Outside of the studio, you can find me…
When I’m not at the studio, you can usually find me at home with my family. I love spending time outdoors, reading, baking, spying on birds, and making anything and everything out of paper and cardboard with my kids. I love the beach and even after more than a decade here, I’m still blown away by the fact that there are palm trees in my front yard! I have a Masters of Science in Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics from Drexel University College of Medicine, and work full time as a Clinical Trial Manager.
