A Decade of Gratitude: 10 Years of OG Yoga

Ten years ago, OG Yoga was born from a simple but powerful vision — that yoga belongs to everyone. That healing, self-awareness, and connection shouldn’t depend on privilege or access, but be available to all — especially to those most impacted by structural racism, trauma, and systemic inequities.

As I reflect on this milestone, my heart overflows with gratitude.

Gratitude for the courageous students who have shown up — in shelters, recovery centers, jails, transitional housing, and community spaces — willing to breathe, move, and heal. Your resilience and openness have been our greatest teachers.

Gratitude for our dedicated teachers, who bring trauma-informed compassion to every class. You embody what OG Yoga stands for — teaching not from ego, but from empathy and equity.

Gratitude for our partners — organizations that believed in our mission before it was “popular,” that welcomed yoga as a tool for healing and community connection. Together, we’ve built bridges where walls once stood.

And gratitude for you — our supporters, donors, and friends — who have sustained us through growth, challenges, and change. Every class, every scholarship, every teacher training has been made possible because of your belief in the power of yoga to heal communities.

Ten years later, OG Yoga has touched thousands of lives and created a growing movement for equity in wellness. But the work is far from done. As we enter our second decade, we recommit to our mission — to serve, to listen, to evolve, and to ensure that yoga continues to be a practice of justice, belonging, and joy.

From the bottom of my heart — thank you for being part of this journey. Here’s to the next ten years of breathing together, healing together, and transforming together.

With deep gratitude,
JoAnn Jaffe
