Offered by nonprofit OG Yoga, this 30-hour Continuing Education (CE) course on Overcoming Trauma Through Yoga will take place over 3 consecutive weekends in February from 10am - 5pm.
This workshop is designed for Yoga Instructors, Educators, and Wellness Professionals who wish to offer trauma and diversity-informed care. Our 30-hour workshop is accredited by Yoga Alliance and counts toward CE contact hours requirements for Registered Yoga Teachers.

This course is specially priced because we wish to increase the capacity of yoga instructors, educators, and service providers who provide trauma-informed yoga throughout San Diego to influence healing, self-development, resilience, and positive social change.

Who is this workshop for?
This workshop is open to yoga instructors, students, educators, and wellness providers who wish to offer trauma and diversity-informed care. Our curriculum fulfills the 30 hours of continuing education required by Yoga Alliance. Six months of previous yoga practice is recommended, but not required. You do not need to be a yoga instructor to attend this training. This workshop is designed to help you understand trauma and teach you to tailor the yoga practice to support healing, resilience, self-development, and positive social justice.
Who is OG Yoga?
OG Yoga is a non-profit project operating an altruistic yoga studio in Normal Heights. We send Yoga Alliance-certified instructors with at least 200 hours of teaching experience out to need-based communities, for youth, seniors and adults facing homelessness, poverty, abuse, addiction, incarceration, and re-entry. We make yoga and mindfulness equally accessible to all. OG Yoga has served over 10,000 individuals from 5 to 85 years young through 50 community partnerships and correctional facilities. We have graduated over 150 yoga teachers since 2018.

Are there opportunities to work with the organizations partnered with OG Yoga as part of the training?
Yes, Registered Yoga Teachers who complete our 30 hour training are eligible to apply to be an OG Yoga instructor and work with our Community Partnerships, Studio Classes, and Hosted Events.
