OG YOGA INSTRUCTORS > BROCK ROSER

Brock Roser

Born in Pennsylvania, transplanted to Austin, TX for music, then to San Diego for the sea. A bit of Integral Yoga in my youth stuck with me over the next couple decades of music performance and teaching, activities like cycling, surfing, and sea kayaking, and various mind/body practices like martial arts, to a regular Ashtanga practice, and to teacher training in 2014. Further training with greats like Leslie Kaminoff and Gary Kraftsow helped my approach to Ashtanga become softer and wiser, and eventually led me to specialize in gentle yoga, with a focus on mindfulness and intentional breathing. Previous training in trauma-informed teaching, and a desire to offer yoga in a non-typical studio environment led me to OG Yoga and I'm so happy to teach and learn with such good and genuine people.

Words I live by…

Stay calm. Be kind. Feel happy.

What inspires me…

As bad as things sometimes seem, it's amazing how far we've come as a species that we even care to and try to live in harmony with each other, against our "animal" impulses. That's impressive!

Outside of the studio…

I play drums with Supersonic Samba School, have been learning to ride waves in my 17 foot kayak, and love bird watching.
